This policy explains what personal data TowMate collects, why, and what you can do about it. TowMate Ltd is the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone number.
- Vehicle details: registration and vehicle description.
- Location data: pickup and drop-off addresses, plus live location while a job is active.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your card number.
- Support conversations, and app diagnostic events.
Why we use it
To match you with a recovery partner, keep you informed, take payment, provide receipts, comply with law, and improve the service.
Who we share it with
Assigned drivers see your name, phone, vehicle and location. Our payment processor and mapping provider process data on our behalf. We do not sell your data.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data any time from Account → Data requests, or by emailing privacy@towmate.co.uk.
Retention
Job records are retained for 7 years to meet UK tax and consumer-law obligations. Account data is deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request, except where law requires longer.
